Summary: I booked a suite with air conditioning. I didn’t know it was on the top floor with slanting ceilings so must have been practically in the roof. It was very hot and couldn’t really feel the air conditioner. They supplied fans and a portable a/c which gave cold air if you sat directly in front of it and blew hot air out of the exhaust hose which was in the room attached to the unit. On our request They moved us to a smaller room which had working air conditioning but was tiny and very loud from the traffic outside on the main road. We were also told that there would be no difference in the price. The shower which was basically inside this tiny room wasn’t draining properly and water was running onto the floor in the room and when we told them about it, they gave us extra towels to soak up the leak. In general, we were exhausted from an overnight international flight so that definitely influenced our experience. The hotel is small, but cute and well located. the front staff are pleasant especially Gweneth. I understand hotels can be small in Europe, but the room and especially the elevator was so tiny It was claustrophobic. If you are sensitive to heat and noise like me, this isn’t your hotel. But if you’re traveling with a backpack and aren’t that sensitive, it might be OK.
