Positive: The water in the pool was wonderfully warm — during the day it felt like stepping into a pleasant, relaxing bath, and at night we didn’t want to get out because the water was actually warmer than the air. The villa is in a quiet, friendly location, though you definitely need your own means of transport, as ride-hailing drivers don’t come into this area. The sea is just a 5-minute walk away, and although the beach is rocky, it has its own unique charm. The hosts were absolutely wonderful people — they fulfilled all our requests without any problem. The food at the property was genuinely delicious. The lady who cooks to order not only delivers the meal but also serves it beautifully on plates and sets the table. She always asked if we wanted coffee, tea, or something to drink — the service was like in a top-class restaurant. Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful, always including an omelet, fruit, and a sweet pastry — much better than what we were served in Ubud. Full body massages are available at the villa for £7.50 per hour. They can be booked through the hosts. The massage lady is wonderful — she truly knows what she’s doing. It’s truly a place where you can relax and unwind, surrounded by nature.

Negative: The room could be better sealed — although we didn’t mind having geckos in the open areas like the kitchen, living room, or bathroom, it’s not exactly pleasant to be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of one right above your head. The outdoor furniture — the loungers and umbrella — had clearly seen better days and could use replacing, though it’s not something that really affects the overall experience.
