Positive: The hosts are genuinely lovely people — very welcoming, attentive, and helpful. I really enjoyed the breakfast and the coffee, and I’m very grateful that the accommodation is dog-friendly and allowed me to stay with my dogs. This was especially important to me as I was trying to get away from the fireworks on New Year’s Eve. The hospitality itself was warm and welcoming.

Negative: I specifically booked and paid for a double room, as I needed the extra space for myself and my dogs. When I arrived, the room contained only a single bed. I was told there had been a mix-up with another booking, and as a result, my room was downgraded. While I appreciated the free breakfast offered as compensation, I would have preferred to receive the room I had originally booked, especially as this was my New Year’s Eve stay and something I had been looking forward to. The situation was not caused by my booking, and it was disappointing to be the one who had to compromise.
