Positive: location was fantastic.

Negative: The location was fantastic, which is fortunate, as unfortunately, there were a few issues. To start, we were given the wrong room, and it did not match the description of the booking, which was disappointing from the outset. Noise was also a major problem. We had been warned there might be some sound when people were leaving the pub, but this was less “pub atmosphere” and more “accidentally booked a room above a nightclub.” At one point, the floor was genuinely shaking. To make matters worse, we were woken at 4 a.m. by cleaners accessing the room next to ours. The noise was so abrupt that we woke up convinced we were being burgled, which is not quite the restful overnight experience we had in mind. Breakfast was also a little unexpected. We were served toast with a generous amount of garlic spread underneath eggs and asparagus which was certainly... a bold culinary decision. Memorable, yes. Welcome, not entirely. Overall, the excellent location was the highlight, but the incorrect room, lack of sleep, and unusual breakfast made the stay far less enjoyable than it should have been.

Summary: very convenient, right in town, but if you need sleep, stay somewhere else.
